Repairing Ex equipment requires specialized knowledge to ensure the protection method is not voided. Our technical team handles precision cleaning and recovery of machined joints in Ex d enclosures to ensure internal explosions cannot ignite the external atmosphere; Sourcing and installing high-tolerance manufacturer-approved seals to maintain IP ratings against dust and moisture ingress (Ex t and Ex e); Troubleshooting and replacing internal electrical components while maintaining the unit’s thermal T-rating; Professional treatment of corrosion or stainless steel, GRP, or aluminium housings to prevent structural compromise in harsh offshore or chemical environments.
OroEx follows a strict  “Restore to Cert” workflow. We assess  the damage against the original manufacturer’s drawings and certification documents. We exclusively use authentic spare parts to ensure the equipment remains complaint with ATEX, IECEx, or local standards. Every repaired unit undergoes rigorous testing – including insulation resistance and earth continuity, before being re-certified for site use.
